Evento festa Europa Italia

Brussels -– To mark Europe Day on May 9, the European Parliament and the EU Commission’s delegation in Italy will organize events in Rome and Milan to celebrate a united Europe. In the Lombard capital on Wednesday (May 8), there will be an event with music and words, while in the capital on Thursday (May 9), there will be a music and image-based initiative to raise awareness of voting ahead of the upcoming European elections in June (in Italy on May 8 and 9).

The event will begin in Milan at 7 p.m. at Luiss Hub in Via Massimo D’Azeglio 3. Attendance is free, but the seats are limited, so you need to register. Entertaining participants will be Gaia, Roberto Vecchioni, Elio and Francesco Oggiano. Also in Rome, the following day, the event will begin at 7 p.m. with greetings from the mayor, Roberto Gualtieri. Then Alfa, Lorenzo Baglioni, Lino Banfi, Cristiana Capotondi, Ludovica Coscione, Anna Favella, Leo Gassmann, Giulia Molino, Alessandro della Giusta and Edoardo Purgatori will take the stage. For those who cannot be in the capital, it is possible to follow the initiative live on YouTube.

After the EU institutions open doors event in Brussels organized last weekend, Europe Day will be celebrated in the capital of the Union and the 27 member countries. Also in Italy, some national symbolic monuments will be illuminated with the EU flag, among all the Colosseum in Rome (on May 9), but also the Arco della Pace and the Castello Sforzesco in Milan (on May 8), Santa Maria Novella in Florence and Castel dell’Ovo in Naples (between May 7 and 9).
