Brussels – The European Commission is taking more time to decide on the possible Ita-Lufthansa merger and is setting a July 4 deadline for the verdict. The reason for this, the EU executive explains, is the set of remedy proposals submitted by the two companies to try to ease the concerns of the EU Antitrust authority. The two companies had until April 26 to exercise their right to amend the merger proposal, a right that was exercised.
