Brussels – Eunews, Gea, L’Infografica, Afp, Agence Europe, Public policy, Policy Eu, Total Eu. A network of European agencies joining forces and will become an aggregator of news on Italian and European public affairs, a multilingual platform at the service of public and private decision-makers, to inform those who must take European decisions into account but also the EU legislature itself on the dynamics and instances of one of the founding and pivotal countries of the European Union.

It is in the setting of the Residence of the Italian Ambassador to Belgium, in Brussels, that the initiative was launched today (Dec. 6) six months before European voters are called to the polls, on the occasion of the first trip the most important Italian conference on European affairs’, dedicated to “New and Old Challenges for the Renewing EU. Promoted by the Article 49 Foundation and the publications Eunews and GEA – Green Economy Agency, under the patronage of the European Parliament and Commission, the European Economic and Social Committee, the Conference of Regions, Unioncamere and the Italian Initiative Group.

“Europe is increasingly present in the daily lives of citizens and businesses, often dictating direction to national and regional legislators. Being informed in real time about the activities of Parliament, Commission and Council is therefore necessary for public and private decision makers,” explained Andrea Poli, president of the Art. 49 Foundation. “The collaboration between major newspapers from independent publishers stems from the desire to build a quantitatively and qualitatively relevant system a few months before the European elections.”

According to Leopoldo Papi, publisher Public Policy and Policy Europe, “with this alliance we are laying the foundations to create a new information platform with solid Italian roots but European and international scope and vision.” For this reason, “we are pleased to contribute to a synergy between excellences of Italian and European journalism, such as Gea, Eunews, l’Infografica, Afp, Agence Europe, Total Eu, which has the potential to establish itself as a reality of reference in specialized institutional information aimed at public decision makers and private stakeholders.” Lorenzo Riccardi, editor-in-chief of Agence Europe, also greeted the initiative with satisfaction, pointing out that “Agence Europe is overjoyed to be part of this initiative because it allows it to reactivate the Italian version, stopped since 2010, of its daily bulletin, published in French and English.” He thanked Withub and its managing editor Andrea Poli for the opportunity to return to Italy with the Italian translation of our historic publication.”
