Cairo – “We must accelerate our efforts to support rapid decarbonization, improve climate finance and focus on the livelihoods of our people. Our goals for this forum are clear. Together we intend to promote private sector involvement in energy transition and climate adaptation strategies, showcase regional sustainable energy initiatives, and support innovative financing solutions that promote economic opportunities and green job creation. The role of the private sector is critical in driving sustainability, and we must work together to create an environment that encourages investment and innovation,” said Amani Al-Azzam, secretary-general of Jordan’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, during CSEW, the Cairo Sustainable Energy Week underway in Cairo.
