They were followed by Turks (12,870), ahead of Afghans (7,930), Venezuelans (6,175) and Colombians (5,445).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/staging.eunews.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/unaccompanied-minors-november-2023.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-338043\" src=\"https:\/\/staging.eunews.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/unaccompanied-minors-november-2023-1024x576.png\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" srcset=\"https:\/\/staging.eunews.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/unaccompanied-minors-november-2023-1024x576.png 1024w, https:\/\/staging.eunews.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/unaccompanied-minors-november-2023-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/staging.eunews.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/unaccompanied-minors-november-2023-768x432.png 768w, https:\/\/staging.eunews.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/unaccompanied-minors-november-2023-1536x864.png 1536w, https:\/\/staging.eunews.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/unaccompanied-minors-november-2023-750x422.png 750w, https:\/\/staging.eunews.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/unaccompanied-minors-november-2023-1140x641.png 1140w, https:\/\/staging.eunews.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/unaccompanied-minors-november-2023.png 1921w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a>\u00a0There were\u00a03,510 unaccompanied minors also seeking asylum, the <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/eurostat\/web\/main\/about-us\/who-we-are\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">European Statistical Institute<\/a> continued, mostly from Syria (1,230) and Afghanistan (580), confirming a phenomenon that shows no sign of abating and in the face of which the EU is struggling. The EU countries that received the most asylum applications from unaccompanied minors were Germany (1,365), the Netherlands (615), Italy (315), Greece (305), and Bulgaria (265).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Eurostat data once again sees Italy, Greece, and Spain in the forefront.
